I have already posted this list of the members of the Administrative Council of ROLEX SA in the german section of this forum (http://www.r-l-x.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=42244&sid=&hilight=who+is+who).

I do regular checks to see if anyone new has become an administrator for Rolex. I would like to share this list with you in English:

Born in 1951. He is a lawyer. He opened a legal firm in 1981 specialised in trademark law, which law fîrm mainly worked for Rolex. His father, the previous principal director of Rolex André Heiniger, made him join Rolex as a manager in the field of marketing and sales. Patrick Heiniger became principal director of Rolex in 1992.

Born in 1950 in Geneva. He is a graduate of the University of Geneva and was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1975. He is listed as a Mediator and Arbitrator at the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. For many years, he was an Expert in the Legal and Anti-Counterfeiting Commissions of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry. Bertrand Gros represents major companies – notably in the Swiss watch industry – as well as famous individual athletes.

Pierre-Yves Firmenich is co-owner of the Firmenich Company, which company describes itself in the following manner: "world's largest privately owned flavours and fragrance company". Pierre-Yves Firmenich is the Commodore of the Geneva based nautical society "Société Nautique de Genève (SNG)". He is very active in the sailing sport, e.g. in the America's Cup with the Alinghi Team.

Jean-Claude Killy is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He has been 3 times Worldchampion in skiing (1966-1968), and has won 3 Olympic gold medals in skiing in 1968. He was Co-chairman of the organising committee for the Olympic Wintergames in Albertville 1992. He was also Chairman of the Société du Tour de France (1992-2001). He is a member of the Administrative Board of Coca Cola Company.

Henri Turrettini is a founding member of de Pury Pictet Turrettini & Co. Ltd. (PPT), which is an independent financial advisory firm active in asset management for private and institutional clients, as well as in corporate treasury and pension fund management. He is the owner of the stud farm "Ecurie Turrettini", and a successful trotting race driver.

In the history of the city of Geneva, 2 members of the Turettini Family had acted as Mayor: Auguste and Théodore Turrettini.

Guy Waldvogel has a Dr.-Ing. degree from ETH Zürich. He was the former chairman of several companies, such as Givaudan, Alusuisse-Lonza, Société Générale de Surveillance. He is now working as a business consultant in Geneva (information from Prof.Rolex). Guy Waldvogel seems to be member of the Lions Club in Geneva.

Gérard Bernheim is a financial consultant working in Geneva (information from Prof.Rolex).

Thanks for this information! Dumb question - is an "administrative council" roughly the Swiss equivalent of a US company's Board of Directors?

Thanks for the info. It's always good to have some pictures which close the gap between the company and the owner of the watch :gut:
