Hi John,
I watched the Red Bull Air Race this year in april in Abu Dhabi.
You may click on the following link:
Bilder meiner Stadt, meines Dorfes ..... (http://www.r-l-x.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=44064&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=12164&page=5)
If you scroll down you can see some more pics. The pilots are doing a fantastic job. I assume the setup was more or less the same.
Before the race startet, a helicopter with a camera flew on the course and you could see those images on big Jumbo-Screens.
The planes -or at least a few of them- also had cameras.
However, a spectacular event and no entrance fee and free Red Bull :D
Greetings, Juergen

Hi Juergen!
Fantastic photos! The set up in San Diego is much as you describe - Part III of this report will have actual photos from race day (Sat.).
I simply take your own words: fantastic review. :]

Thanks - be sure to check out Part II (just posted) and Part III (tomorrow)! :gut:
Ahh, fantastic!
That brought back memories. I spent about two months in San Diego some time ago. One of the greatest times of my life: high school buddies, a cute girlfriend, California weather, lots of beaches...
Thanks for sharing your pics - looking forward to the race day pics!
Cheers-
Nico
