I bought this off the Bay a couple of days ago simply because it has the same name as my "other" Midas......... ;)

Any info or help identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Leo

Hi,

it´s a "Midas", 17 jewels movement, antimagnetic, and fitted with an unbreakable mainspring. IIRC it has an Incabloc shock protection.

Anything else you need to know? ;)

Have a great day-
Nico

Yes, and its an international watch with a red hand.

I think, he wants to know some more details. ;)

Hi Leo!

the only thing I could find is the following link / information. Whether they are associated with this watch :grb: :grb:

This site maps watch-"names" and/or abbreviations to manufacturers:

http://www.uhrenindustriemuseum.de/images/wortmarken.pdf

When scrolling down to "Midas" you find "Erhard Burkhard" as the manufacturer.

Googling with "Uhr Erhard Brukhard" comes up with

Ebur-Uhren- und Schraubenfabrik Erhard Burkhard GmbH Manometer Eichendorffstraße 35 78054 Villingen-Schwenningen Telefon: 0 7720 1091

Now, give them a call and ask for the missing / worn hologram.... X(

This PDF file is very interesting, with valuable information, i have a few sixties and seventees gold watches inhereted from my mother, without much information about them.
I'm sure i will find some info on these old watches with this PDF file.
Will look it up later tonight.
Thanks for posting this link Jogi ! :gut:
