Hello Friends,

Ok, I drive a Porsche... so I thought it would be cool to have a Porsche design watch. I went to the Porsche-design website and looked at the models.

The P6910 catches my attention. Something new and totally different:

INDICATOR. World premiere: the first chronograph to mechanically enable a digital display of the stopping time in hours and minutes.

The INDICATOR is heralding a revolution in timing – it is the only automatic chronograph in the world which is equipped with a mechanical-digital stopwatch display. Total stopwatch time: 9 hours, 59 minutes. The dial and hands are perfectly readable: they are also visible in the dark due to the clear layout and the different luminous coatings on the hands and markings. The case and rotor disc are made of hard-wearing titanium – with a satin finish and sandblasted. The sapphire glass is scratch-resistant, anti-reflective and embossed. Power reserve display.

Diameter: 49.00 mm, height: 19.9 mm

Water resistance: up to 50 m

So, I make a phone call to the store. The guy says they are not in stock. My question? How much does it cost? Answer: $150,000.00 US

Wow! That is a lot of money for a watch! Not even a tourbillion?

Yes its a nice looking watch and I am pretty sure that they invested some time into that whole mechanism.

But then hey, its a gadget for really rich and at the same time bored people.

Id rather get a nice Daytona GG and a white Carrera S at the same time! Baller!

But then who I am to tell people what the like and what not.

Imho, it's overpriced. A college of mine works at Eterna as a watch-maker. He's wearing that mega large PD prototype divers watch all the time (it's not out yet). He didn't think it to be "VERY" special. A nice feauture thats it.

Have a nice day!

For $500.00 I would buy one today. For $1,500.00 it would be on my wish list. For $150,000.00? I would rather have a new 911 Turbo (it comes equipped with a chronographic computer that indicates elapsed time).

My collection is more classic than this design. This is very modern techno looking. But I do like the functions and complication of the mechanical movement.
