Unsere erste Reise dieses Jahr fuehrte uns am 01.01., 30 Minuten nach Mitternacht, auf die Philippinen. Wir haben angenehmes mit nuetzlichem verbunden - eine Immobilie war fertiggstellt und Schluesseluebergabe, danach haben wir Bekannte in der Provinz besucht und anschliessend noch 8 Tage Badeurlaub.

Los geht es mit Etihad Business (im September gab es ein Angebot "buy 1, get 1 free").

Angekommen in Makati/Manila. Blick aus dem Hotelfenster des "New World Hotel Makati" auf einen Teil Manilas und die "Greenbelt" shopping mall.

Die Immobilie ist ein einem uptown district "Venice" mit unmittelbarem Blick auf den "Kanal". Hier gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants, Supermarkt etc., so dass eine Vermietung kein Problem darstellen wird.

In der Greenbelt Mall sind natuerlich auch zahlreiche Restaurants mit Freigelaende. Die Weihnachtsdeko wurde noch nicht eingeraeumt.

...und dann ging es in die Provinz....am 25.12. wuetete hier ein Taifun mit der Staerke 4/5 und hat zahlreiche Baeume entwurzelt, Strommasten umgeknickt, Reisfelder ueberflutet etc. ...
Viele Bewohner haben ueber Wochen/Monate keinen Strom, so dass Generatoren Mangelware werden und natuerlich zu exorbitanten Preisen verkauft werden. Wir hatten z.B. den Fall, dass das Wasserwerk keinen Strom fuer den Generator der Hauptpumpstation hatte, so dass wir kein Wasser aus dem Kran bekamen.
Den Einwohnern ist so eine Lage nicht fremd und mit Improvisation und Nachbarschaftshilfe kaempft man sich durch. So haben wir von den Nachbarn, die eine manuelle Grundwasserpumpe haben, zahlreiche Eimer mit Wasser gefuellt, dieses dann gefiltert und mit Schoepfkelle zum Duschen benutzt.

Zahlreiche Gebaude wurden beschaedigt, so wie hier eine eingestuerzte Decke des lokalen Ford-Haendlers, die dann auch 8 nagelneue Autos beschaedigte.

Nahe der Stadt Legazpi gibt es den "Mayon Vulkan", der regelmaessig ausbricht, so letztmalig 2014. Im Jahr 1814 hat ein heftiger Ausbruch die Stadt "Cagsawa" unter Lava begraben, so dass bis heute nur die Spitze des Kirchturms zu sehen ist.

Auf dem Gelaende vor dem Vulkan befindet sich ein hervorragendes Terrain, um mit Quad-Bikes herumzugurken.

Reparaturen haben begonnen, aber man kann ja nicht ueberall gleichzeitig sein...

Dann ging es endlich auf die Insel "Coron" mit dem Busuanga-Flughafen. Fall Jochen (biffbiffsen) hier mitliest...das "Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa" kannst/musst Du in Deine "Hotels, die man unbedingt mal besuchen sollte - Liste" aufnehmen.

Inlandsfluege mit z.B. hier Cebu Pacific sind schweinebillig. Aufpassen sollte man allerdings - auf dem Hinflug haben wir Cebu Pacific gebucht (hier kann es durchaus sein, dass der Flug mal verschoben oder sogar gecancelled wird), die ein Freigepaeck von 20 kg pro Person erlauben. Da es uns zeitlich besser passte, haben wir fuer den Rueckflug "Philippine Airlines" gebucht, die nur 10 kg pro Person erlauben, was ganz klein und unscheinbar auf dem Ticket erwaehnt wird....

Nach einem ca. 40-minuetigen Bustransfer vom Flughafen zur Basisstation "Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel", geht es mit dem Speedboot weiter zum Resort. Nach ca. 35-45 Minuten ist man dort angekommen.

Man kann auch direkt von Manila mit dem Wasserflugzeug anreisen.

Wir haben ein "Island Tip House" gebucht und wurden nicht enttaeuscht. Ausreichend gross, mit sensationellem Badezimmer, Rainshower-Duschkopf und direktem Zugang von der Dusche zur Veranda und dem Whirlpool. Die Freundlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft etc etc des Personals ist unbeschreiblich. Jeder hat ein Laecheln auf dem Gesicht und jeder Wunsch wird von den Augen abgelesen.

Wir haben am naechsten Tag eine "Island hopping tour" mit diesem Auslegerboot gemacht...es hat sich so ergeben, dass wir alleine waren.

Am naechsten Tag war geplant, dass wir in ein anderes Resort, den Club Paradise, im Norden von Coron, genauer auf Dimaquiat Island (das Two Seasons befindet sich auf Bulalacao Island) umziehen. Das Wetter spielte aber anfangs nicht mit, es war bewoelkt und sehr stuermisch, so dass an einen Transfer mit dem Boot nicht zu denken war. Man bot uns an, fuer 50% eine weitere Nacht in dem bisherigen Haus zu verbringen....haette ich mal besser gemacht.
Am Nachmittag dann flaute der Sturm etwas ab und die Wellen wurden seichter, so dass man den Transfer auf einem Umweg in Ufernaehe verschiedener Inseln durchfuehren konnte (normalerweise dauert der Transfer 35-45 Minuten, dieser hat 2 1/2 Stunden gedauert).
Auf der Hauptinsel angekommen, erfuhren wir, dass der Wellengang im Norden, also zwischen Coron Island und Dimaquiat Island, immer noch zu hoch sei und deshalb kein Transfer stattfinden wuerde...man brachte uns in einem anderen Hotel unter. Dieses andere Hotel war eine Lachnummer...es mit 1 Stern zu kathegorisieren ist ein Schlag ins Gesicht aller 1-Sterne Hotels...hiervon gibt es keine Fotos.
Natuerlich sehe ich ein, dass Wetter hoehere Gewalt ist, aber wenn ich einen Betrag X fuer eine Uebernachtung bezahle, erwarte ich zumindest einen aehnlichen entsprechenden Standard im Ausweich-Hotel.
Am naechsten Tag dann wurden wir um 8 Uhr abgeholt und zu den Booten gebracht - das Wetter hatte sich beruhigt.
Falls Jochen (biffbiffsen) mitliest....den "Club Paradise" auf keinen Fall in die "Hotels, die man unbedingt sehen muss - Liste" aufnehmen. Die Bewertungen bei Tripadvisor entsprechen in keinster Weise dem, was wir vorgefunden haben.
Die Location ist hervorragend, aber die Anlage veraltet und heruntergewirtschaftet. So gab es z.B. in unserem Bungalow keinen Fernseher (nicht, dass ich unbedingt TV schauen wollte, aber ein Fernseher ist m.M. nach Standard), die ueblichen Wasserflaschen sind hier durch eine Karaffe mit 2 Glaesern ersetzt....keine Ahnung, wie lange das Wasser schon da drin steht. Es gab 3 kleine Einmachglaeser mit eher unlecker aussehenden Keksen. Badezimmer-Kacheln dreckig/angelaufen, keine Strandliegen oder Handtuecher (erst auf mehrmalige Anfrage) u.s.w.
Das Personal war bemueht, aber irgendwie hilflos/ueberfordert und damit ineffektiv...sicherlich ein Management-Problem und absolut kein Vergleich zum Two Seasons.

Die Urlaubsfotos sind ja super. Mit welcher Kamera wurden den die Unterwasserfotos geschossen. Ich gehe ab und zu mal Tauchen in Thailand. Ich habe nur eine billige thaiversion einer GoPro. Was hast du den und was kannst du für solche scharfen Unterwasserfotos empfehlen?

Danke, ich benutze die Canon D10, die aber mittlerweile durch die D30 abgeloest wurde. Wie tief tauchst Du ? IMHO wuerde ich zwischen der Olympus TG-4 und der Canon D30 waehlen, wobei die Canon bis 25m wasserdicht ist, die TG-4 nur 15m. Zoom und Lichtstärke sind natuerlich unter Wasser sehr wichtig.

Danke für die schnelle Antwort. Hab gleich nochmal gefragt weil ich den Threat nochmal gecheckt habe und meine Frage nicht mehr da war. Jetzt abe ich zweimal gefragt und eine Antwort. Passt!! :) danke dir.
Ich hab bis jetzt nur den OWD also bis zu 18 Meter. Aber oft interessiert das die Leute in Thailand nicht. War da schon auf 28 Meter bei meinen ersten Tauchgang nach der Prüfung :D
also bis 25 Meter sollte reichen

Noch ein kleiner Anhang...ein paar wenige GoPro-Bilder.
Ich bin nicht sooo 100%-ig zufrieden, was a) am extremen Weitwinkel liegen kann, b) am fehlenden Kontrollbild waehrend der Aufnahme, c) an mangelnder Uebung.
Die Aufnahmen, korrekter - die Unterwasseraufnahmen-, sind zum Rand hin unscharf und die Aufnahmen beduerfen extensiver Nachbearbeitung mit Photoshop - mehr als die Canon-Bilder.
