Atlantis Dubai - again

Wie jedes Jahr bietet das Atlantis-Hotel in Dubai zur Zeit des Ramadan (der genau heute beendet ist) ein gutes Angebot an, da die Auslastung aller Hotels in diesem Zeitraum um die 20-30% herumgurkt.

Die Temperaturen kratzen mittlerweile an der 50-Gradmarke und die Luftfeuchtigkeit ist exorbitant hoch, also spricht nichts gegen eine kleine Erfrischung.

Hier kann man sehr gut sehen, wie diesig die Luft ist, bedingt durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, Skyline von Dubai mit Sheikh Zayed Road im Hintergrund:

Das ist die "leap of faith" - mit einer Geschwindigkeit von ca. 60 Km/h geht es abwaerts und durch das Aquarium mit u.a. Rochen und Haien...von denen man allerdings nichts mitbekommt, da man a) nichts sieht und b) viel zu schnell durchrauscht

Letzte Attraktion in "The Lost Chambers" sind 2 Albino-Alligatoren, eine ganz rare Spezies und genetische Mutation, die ausgewachsen bis 4m lang werden koennen. Diese hier sind schaetzungsweise 70-80 cm lang.

Ich hab mir vor 3 Jahren an der Leap of Faith mal eine richtig blutende Ferse geholt, da war anscheinend irgendwas nicht richtig vernietet... :motz:

Direkt neben der "leap of faith" gibt es noch eine deutllch langsamere Rutsche, so dass man mit diesem aufblasbaren Ring durch diese Roehre mit rechteckigem Querschnitt gleitet und genuegend Zeit hat, alle Fische um einen herum anzusehen:

...und hier das tiefe Becken, wo einen die Delfine durchs Wasser ziehen....wenn man genau hinsieht, kann man 2 Delfine sehen:

Und das ist "The drop"...im Prinzip aehnlich wie "Leap of faith", aber man hat keine Kontrolle, wann der Boden unter einem wegklappt. Dann nimmt man ordentlich Fahrt auf und rauscht durch eine Roehre (leider nicht transparent) sogar leicht bergauf und in engen Kurven:

Ist das Atlantis dort quasi baugleich mit der New Providence Ausführung?

Ob das Atlantis hier genau baugleich mit dem auf den Bahamas ist, kann ich nicht sagen, obwohl ich in beiden schon war....man sagt, das in Dubai ist eine Kopie und zumindest sieht sie sehr aehnlich aus und auch die Aussenfarbe stimmt.

War jetzt 3 mal im "Atlantis Dubai" ( und auch einmal auf den Bahamas, ganz baugleich sind sie nicht,z.B. der gigantische Durchbruch in der Front)
Waren jedes Mal sehr zufrieden, obwohl der Service nicht optimal ist und ich WLAN (das noch dazu gerade im Poolbereich recht instabil ist) in dieser Preisklasse als "included" erwarte...
Aber die Restaurants sind super und im "Nobo" sind wir öfters versackt...

So, ich hatte ja vor, nach einer Kreuzfahrt im November noch 5 Nächte im Atlantis zu bleiben.

flieger würde am 6. Tag um 00:50 gehen, d. h. ich müsste so gegen 22.00 Uhr das hotel verlassen.

Check-Out-Time ist 12:00 Uhr...also 10 Stunden irgend wo rumhängen wäre jetzt nicht so mein Ding.

Email ins Hotel geschickt und gefragt, ob sie ein sogenanntes "Tageszimmer" vermieten bzw. ob man (natürlich gegen Bezahlung) noch bis zur Abreise im Zimmer bleiben kann. Dass das natürlich von der Auslastung des Hotels abhängt, war mir klar.

Es kam ne Standart-Antwort zurück mit viel bla bla bla und man kann das Zimmer ja noch einen Tag länger buchen, dann kann man sicher sein, dass man auch noch duschen kann etc...

Auf meine eigentliche Frage(n) bekam ich keine Antwort.

Ich habe wieder ne Mail geschickt und es kam wieder eine nichtssagende Antwort =( !

Also heute dort angerufen. Man kann das Zimmer noch bis 22:00 Uhr behalten...Kosten hierfür schlappe 42 Euro...PRO STUNDE ;) !

Dies zur Info, falls mal jemand länger wie 12:00 Uhr im Zimmer bleiben möchte...es geht...was allerdings den Preis angeht :kriese: kein Schnäppchen ;) !

Aber die Art und Weise wie man da ne Antwort bekommt und mehrfach nachfragen muss, hat mir jetzt nicht so recht gefallen...

Frag' doch mal nach, ob die einen "late check out" anbieten. Meist geht da was -natuerlich je nach Verfuegbarkeit- bis 14 oder sogar 15 Uhr. Ansonsten wuerde ich mir den Stress nicht antun und in einem der IBIS/Novotels fuer 100 Euro 1 Nacht buchen und dann eben dort um 22:00 auschecken. Wenn Du das IBIS City Center nimmst, bist Du sogar schon fast am Flughafen.

Deckt sich aber leider mit meinen Service-Erfahrungen im "Atlantis".
So toll das Hotel an sich auch ist, sehr gästeorientiert agiert man dort nicht....
