Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Man kennt ja diesen Drang nach Superlativen in dieser Region, aber diese Pracht hat mich echt fast umgehauen...

1096 Außensäulen, 82 Kuppeln, mehr als 20.000 Marmorplatten, der größte handgeknüpfte Teppich der Welt mit knapp 5700 Quadratmetern und die größten Kristallkronleuchter (aus München ;)) mit ca. 10m im Durchmesser und 9,5t Gewicht...um nur einige Superlativen zu nennen.

Sehr schön Anna, da waren wir auch im März 2014....da war es noch etwas voller aber auch sehr heiß....war schon beeindruckend!!

Was mich auch sehr positiv überrascht hatte, dass man dort keinen Eintritt, Parkgebühr, etc. bezahlen musste!!!!
