ja ein Zweifler war ich…wird es mir dort wirklich gefallen??

9 Tage sollten es sein im Sofitel Jumeirah Beach und das Hotel war wirklich fantastisch. Entlang des “Walks“ ist zwar momentan eine Baustelle (es wird mal wieder eine Mall gebaut ;)) aber wenn man darauf vorbereitet ist, dauert es nicht lange und man hört eigentlich nichts mehr…

Gleich vorweg, der Service, egal wo, war unglaublich gut…nicht dieses typische aufgesetzte Grinsen, sondern man hatte wirklich das Gefühl, gut behandelt zu werden.

wir sind über Nacht mit Lufthansa geflogen und selbst hier gibt es nur Lob von mir.

Ich war schon einige Male in Dubai - das erste Mal zu Zeiten vor der Marina und Palm. Die Strasse nach Dubai City minimalst befahren.

In den Gold Souqs, also noch vor den Zeit der Händler aus Russland und U.K. konnte man schöne, gebrauchte Rolex erwerben.

ist eine sehr hübsche 'waterfront Promenade' mit vielen Restaurants und Cafés, entlang der 1. Linie von Dubai Marina. Zwischen Meer und dem Walk entsteht gerade eine weitere riesige Beach Mall, wo es dann auch noch die entsprechenden Shops entlang der Flaniermeile geben soll - wird glaube ich sehr schön...

War es eigentlich eher kühl?

in den ersten beiden Tagen gab es vielleicht ein kühles Lüftchen, aber selbst am Abend konnte man noch wunderbar draußen sitzen, am Strand waren es tagsüber sichere 25-30 Grad. Beim Golf täuscht das vielleicht, weil ich grundsätzlich mit langen Hosen spiele.
