Der Patek Museums Thread

So Leute, hier kommt der angekündigte Tread über das Patek Museum in Genf:)
Was manche von euch vorausgesehen haben, trat auch ein, und zwar, dass es verboten ist, Fotos zu machen, also muss ich mich leider auf die Broschüren und schriftliche Überlieferungen beschränken.

Ich kann jedem, der mal zufällig in Genf zu tun hat, raten, sich die Zeit zu nehmen und in dieser Institution vorbei zu schauen, denn wenn man Uhren (muss gar nicht Patek sein) schätzt, wird man sicher nicht enttäuscht sein. Sogar mein Vater, der sonst wirklich nichts mit Uhren am Hut hat, war hellauf begeistert. Es gibt zu jedem Themenbereich im Museum animierte Videos, die den Aufbau besonderer Zeitmesser erklären. Diese Videos sind auch auf der DVD, die um relativ günstige 15 Franken erhältlich ist. Ich glaube manche dürften sie schon kennen. =)
Allerdings muss ich bezüglich der Öffnungszeiten warnen, denn das Museum hat sehr wohl eine Mittagspause, auch wenn auf der Webside etwas völlig anderes steht.
Hoffe, dieser kleine Tread gefällt euch und entspricht halbwegs euren Erwartungen. :]

Hallo

Ich war im Sommer 2009 mit dem Uhrenmagazin in der Schweiz.
Von der Reise habe ich damals auch Bilder eingestellt.

Da wir damals im Museum fotografieren durften, hier noch mal
die Bilder:

Was hier gezeigt wird, kann man eigentlich nicht beschreiben.
Es ist einfach der reine Wahnsinn!!!
Die Bilder die ich hier zeige, sind wirklich nur ein kleiner
Bruchteil dessen, was es zu sehen gibt.

Man kann sich im Museum völlig frei bewegen.
Und zum fotografieren:
Erst wurde uns gesagt, dass wir keine Bilder machen dürfen.
Dann hat eine Frau gesagt, es ginge doch.
Lag wahrscheinlich am Uhrenmagazin.

Ich war im September 2011 im PP Museum.
Durfte ebenso fotografieren. Habe im Prinzip die gleiche Fotostrecke wie die hier aufgeführte Fotostrecke.
Sollte ich noch sehenswerte hier nicht gezeigte Bilder haben, werde ich diese einstellen.

@ Andreas. Vielen Dank für die reichlich tollen Fotos. Ich möchte mich gerne der Frage von Martin anschließen: Darf man sich als Normbesucher auch ganz individuell und ungestört umsehen (was erfreulich aber eher ungewöhnlich wäre) oder wird man dann nur in der Gruppe durchgeschleust? Über eine kurze Info diesbezüglich würde ich mich freuen.

Dieses Modell macht mich Wahnsinnig! Kann sich bitte einer der anwesenden Meister :verneig: erbarmen und mich über die Funktion der 12 Mini Dias aufklären? Ich dachte natürlich erst an verschiedene Zeitzonen, aber die Minuten sind bei jeder Anzeige unregelmäßig verschieden.
Denkt ihr / weiß jemand (Adriano, ließt du mit? :)) wie das mechanisch umgesetzt wurde? Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es 13 eigenständige Werke gibt. (oder doch? Es gibt ja nichts was es nicht gibt) Die müsste man dann aber auch alle von Hand stellen können/müssen. Würde aber die asynchronen Minuten erklären. Auf den ersten Blick dachte ich es wird wohl ein "Haupt-Werk" sein, dessen Stunden und Minuten die kleinen Anzeigen für ihren Zweck dann einfach "übersetzen". Dann würden die Minuten aber immer gleich sein. Ich komm hier einfach zu keiner sinvollen Variante. Würde mich sehr über Infos freuen!!:jump:
