Here's an article I wrote about how I got the shot:

Playing With Lighting & Remote Triggers In My Watch Photo Studio | ThruMyLens (http://thrumylens.org/photography/playing-with-lighting-remote-triggers-in-my-watch-photo-studio/)

Your article is very informative. The photo is well done. I personally prefer your pictures with more atmosphere (backgrounds, accessoires, etc.).
Kind regards
Volker

Volker - you can always add that other stuff into a photo, but the key is to properly "light the stage" - this was an experiment to try and get better lighting results.

I have seen, that you have a light tent. You use diffuse light and perhaps a spot light to bring out special elements or effects. In my oppion your result will be a catalog photo. Perhaps my photo knowledge is limited, so I do not see the problem ("get better lighting results").
In this article http://www.luxurytyme.com/articles/10.html the last and the third to last picture are more "emotional". And you have taken lots of phantastic photos of this kind.
Kind regards
Volker

Oh, I did, John, I did.

To me it's always fascinating how much effort is to be made to take pictures like these, but as the results show... it's all more than worth it. Grand! :gut:
