Schade, es war ein genialer Service. Ich habe ihn lieben und schätzen gelernt, zumal er plattform- und browserunabhängig war. =(

beschwer dich :) Tinypic wollte auch abschalten, das haben sie nach massiven Beschwerden jetzt revidiert ;)

Please rest assured no content was removed from the site. We tried to notify users on Tinypic and requested they move their content to Photobucket. Unfortunately this messaging was insufficient and has taken many of our users by surprise and we apologize. Schade, ich hatte bisher auch Xmarks gerne genutzt.

wird als Alternative Firefox Sync empfohlen. Hat das schon jemand im Einsatz? Taugt das was?

Es gibt diverse Alternativen, die ein bisschen anders funktionieren. Entweder proprietäre Tools wie Opera Link (http://www.opera.com/link/), Firefox Sync (http://www.mozilla.com/de/firefox/sync/) oder die online-Variante wie delicious (http://www.delicious.com/) mit Plugins für Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3615/), Safari (http://www.switchingtomac.com/tutorials/intergrate-delicious-with-safari-using-delicioussafari/), Opera (http://goetz.buerkle.org/opera), Internet Explorer (http://www.delicious.com/help/installie). Für den Mac gibt's noch zusätzlich, unabhängig vom Standardbrowser noch Delibar (http://www.delibarapp.com/).

yep, da ich eigentlich nur Firefox oder Chrome benutze, werde ich wohl auf die prorietären syncs umsteigen, xmarks war toll weil es sowohl Rechner, Betriebssystem und Browser überfreifend war.

bei delicious sind dann die links auswertbar anonym öffentlich zugänglich, was ich nicht soooo prickelnd finde...
